September 5th, 2023 marks the 3rd year since the passing of our founder's mother's الله یرحمها. Zolikha Yaseen Kaid's inspiring life was the driving force behind the creation of mennās, a social enterprise born as a tribute to Mama, who held a deep love for our homeland and its people. To honor her memory, we're releasing this limited edition artwork, thoughtfully crafted by the talented artist Sarah Ahmed, beautifully encapsulates the vibrant spirit of Mama.
It features a whimsical illustration of her donning a traditional dress, inspired by a cherished photograph from her participation in her college's international fashion show in the early '90s. Mama carried her deep love for Yemen in her heart and wore it proudly, always eager to share her rich culture with those around her.

School Supplies for Yemeni Children
In alignment with Mama's unwavering belief in the transformative power of education, all profits from this limited edition print will be dedicated to providing school supplies for children in Yemen through our friends at Yemen Aid US, a licensed INGO in Yemen and a 501(c)3 in the United States.
Yemen has faced numerous challenges, including conflict and economic instability, which have disrupted the education system, leaving children trapped in a self-perpetuating cycle of poverty. Something as simple as school supplies can often be a financial burden that parents in Yemen cannot afford. Despite these hardships, Yemeni children remain eager to return to school and have dreams for their future. By providing these essential materials, we hope to ease this burden on families and do our small part to fuel the enthusiasm of these young minds as they return to school.
