This bukhoor incense blend is an ode to Sana’a—the city where my love for Yemen took root. The first place I would land, the last place I wanted to leave. Each visit, I left a piece of my heart behind. Now, part of me will always rest in its soil.
My mother dreamed of this city as home, and so she built one there, laying down roots that tether us back no matter how far we go. I remember the thrill of weaving through its tangled streets, the scent of spice and incense trailing through the souks, the quiet power of voices rising in prayer. Sana’a shaped me in ways I’m still discovering.
This scent carries the quiet hum of the Old City at dawn, the spice-laced breeze drifting through its alleyways, the voices of merchants calling out their wares. It is the deep, velvety Damask rose stacked high in the markets, the warmth of smoldering wood in a mabkhara, the richness of oud that lingers—weaving itself into fabric, settling into skin. Long after the embers fade, Sana’a stays with you.

How to use: After lighting charcoal with a flame, carefully place a piece of incense on top. For a slower, cleaner burn, place a mica plate on the charcoal before adding bakhoor.
Each piece will burn for 4 - 6 mins. The aromatic scent fills the space for hours after vary by size of the space.
WARNING: Do not allow it to burn unsupervised. Keep out of reach of children. Avoid putting in drafty areas or near any flammable materials. Do not directly inhale smoke.
