In Japan, mica sheets have been used to heat incense rather than burn it for hundreds of years.
Using tongs, carefully place the mica plates on freshly lit charcoal with a thin layer of white ash. This will gently raise the temperature of the incense so that you can enjoy a beautiful, slow and clean aroma.
Handwash mica plates with cool water to reuse.
